The Post Barn Wedding
A beautiful summer wedding at the Post Barn near Newbury, Berkshire captured by Carol and Paul at Tansley Photography.
The Post is a relatively new barn wedding venue in Berkshire. Barns don’t come much higher spec than this. The barn itself was designed locally, by Ark Architects, specifically with weddings in mind. It’s a spacious modern design but with traditional features, such as the lovely main oak beams and it is set in the grounds of the Donnington Valley Hotel, surrounded by 120 acres of countryside.

The Post Barn was winner of the Wedding Industry Awards 2024, Best Barn wedding venue in the South Central Region. Which makes it a perfect match for us, as we were winners of the Best Wedding Photographers in the same competition, TWIA 2024. You can’t get a much better combination than that.

Numbers: The barn can host up to 150 guests for a civil ceremony and sit down wedding breakfast. Plus up to 200 guests during an evening reception.
Outdoor Ceremony: Weddings can be held indoors or outdoors (weather permitting).
Confetti: Real flower petal confetti is allowed outside
Catering: In house Head Chef Darren Booker-Wilson takes care of all of your needs.
Accommodation: Available at the 4-star Donnington Valley Hotel or The Vineyard at Stockcross.
