If you are looking for wedding photographers LOOK NO FURTHER. Paul and Carol are the most incredible team of photographers. They don’t stop shooting all day for our recent wedding in October and we are blown away by the photos. Paul and Carol were amazing. Their photos are absolutely incredible and they were a huge help on the day, seamlessly making sure everything went to plan whilst somehow also taking stunning photos without being intrusive in any way. We couldn’t have done it without them and we are so glad that they were part of our big day. We highly highly recommend, you will not regret it, they are superstars who have given us a photo album that we will treasure for years to come. Tansley Photography are brilliant.  If you're looking for photographer(s) for your wedding, you're making a big mistake not booking these two!  Paul and Carol are super talented photographers - which of course is really important for your wedding - but they're also really good people, organised and communicate very well both in the run up to the wedding and during the event.  We married in July 2026, having booked them the previous November. As recommended by Paul, we booked both of them to capture different elements of the wedding such as me (the bride) getting hair and makeup, while the groom was off at his ushers lunch. In the pre-wedding zoom meeting, Paul also gave us lots of tips on how to help them capture great 'non-posed' shots, such as walking up the aisle, the confetti walk etc.  Their aim to capture natural moments, expressions and emotions - rather than lots of posed group shots - and they absolutely succeed in doing that.  Our portrait shots are amazing (see attached) and unbelievably only took 10 minutes or so, maximising the amount of time we spent with our guests. Carol was also superb during hair, makeup, getting dressed and then getting to the church. She came in the car both to and from the church and captured fantastic images of those two very emotional moments.

It's no surprise that Paul and Carol have won lots of awards for their photography.  They are extremely talented and lovely people.  I cannot recommend them highly enough. Book them now!

When we decided to elope, I knew we would want some photographic memories of our day. Neither of us are fans of 'posed' shots, so Tansley Photography's beautiful reportage style was perfect for us. Paul really knows what he's doing. He was somehow friendly yet unobtrusive, captured the most incredible memories of our day, and even witnessed our marriage for us! Paul and Carol were absolutely wonderful from the very first time I met them. At our initial meeting, they talked us through their documentary style of photography, which was exactly what we wanted. We wanted natural, candid photographs and, most importantly, we didn’t want to spend our wedding day constantly being taken away from our guests or standing in front of a camera. I knew after that first meeting that I wanted them to photograph our wedding.

Paul’s communication throughout was excellent and he was always incredibly quick to respond. Before the wedding, he arranged a meeting to go through the day, which was so helpful. He gave us some brilliant tips to ensure we got the best photographs possible, particularly for walking down the aisle, the bridesmaids and our confetti walk.

On the wedding morning, Paul and Carol immediately fitted into the day. They were never intrusive and simply became part of everything that was happening.

Carol stayed with us while I got into my dress and was absolutely amazing. She has such a calm, warm and friendly presence and made me feel completely comfortable. When everyone was struggling to do up my dress and things became slightly stressful, Carol remained completely calm, kept giving me reassuring looks and chatted to me to distract me from the drama! Thank you, Carol - you were a true superstar in that moment and exactly the person I needed in the room.

Throughout the rest of our wedding, I can genuinely say that I barely noticed Paul and Carol were there - and I mean that as the biggest compliment. They seamlessly blended into the day, capturing everything without ever making our wedding feel like a photoshoot.

We did have a few group photographs at my request, and Paul had suggested nominating two family members to help gather everyone. We followed his advice and it worked brilliantly, making the group photographs quick and efficient - particularly appreciated in the scorching July heat!

We received so many lovely comments from our guests about Paul and Carol too. Everyone commented on how friendly they were, with several guests specifically mentioning how unobtrusive they were compared with photographers they had experienced at other weddings. It was lovely to know our guests were just as impressed as we were.

Then we received our sneak peek photographs… WOW! They were absolutely stunning and we were completely blown away. We cannot wait to see the full collection and our final album.

We chose Paul and Carol because we didn’t just want photographs of the two of us; we wanted someone to capture our whole wedding — our guests, the reactions, laughter and all those little moments happening around us that we might otherwise have missed. Most importantly, we wanted to actually enjoy and be present at our own wedding.

That is exactly what Paul and Carol gave us. You get to enjoy your wedding rather than spending half of it in front of a camera, while they quietly capture everything happening around you.

A massive thank you to you both for being part of our wedding day and for working so incredibly hard, especially during the heatwave! We honestly couldn’t recommend Paul and Carol highly enough. The photos speak for themselves. Paul is an exceptional photographer, but more than that a wonderful and caring human being, exactly who you need on your wedding day. He walked us through every step prior to the wedding with a sensitive but strong guiding hand.

Paul was great and very professional. When I had a meeting with him before the wedding, he gave us good suggestions and reassurances for the day. We really love the quality of the photos. Tansley Photography was exactly what we wanted from a wedding photographer and more.

We had a very small wedding and I was worried about the photographer feeling awkward, or there not being much to photograph, but Paul and Carol gave us the perfect experience and results.

They were super friendly and helpful right from the start, and we instantly felt like they were the right fit for us. Talking to them before the wedding and understanding their process took away a lot of my anxiety and helped me enjoy the run up and day much more.

Carol and Paul are both extremely professional while being friendly, lovely people. It was a pleasure to have them capture our day. They blended in seamlessy and just felt like two other guests. There was no forced poses or awkwardness - they simply melted into the wedding and captured all the little moments beautifully.

I'm not a fan of having my picture taken, but they made it all so easy, and we now have a huge collection of stunning photos we will cherish forever. There isn't a single one we're unhappy with, which I feel is something of a miracle!

Real photographs, real emotions and real memories, all without the faff.
Choosing a photographer for your wedding is incredibly overwhelming with so many options out there. I struggled so much as we just wanted the reality of the day photographed and for the memorable moments to be captured. The Tansleys gave us exactly what we wanted. The photos are stunning, natural and going through them has allowed us to relive the day exactly as it happened.
Both Paul and Carol are incredibly knowledgeable and professional at providing great natural photographs that provide a full photo documentary of the day, all without the posing and faff so many photographers need to make their photos look good.
Before the day we had several calls where we were given invaluable advice, things we had never thought of were covered so that we were able to have the best photos taken on the day. Looking back at the photos we still smile knowing how we were lucky enough to get that particular photo, without the advice it wouldn't have happened.
There were no hidden costs and at a very competitive price especially with how long they were there and the time and effort it took to go through all of the photos before we received the album.
