Weddings at the Wellington Arms Hampshire
A Wellington Arms wedding by Carol and Paul Tansley, Hampshire wedding photographers.
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Hampshire countryside, The Wellington Arms in Stratfield Turgis, is a wedding venue near Basingstoke. The old pub is part of the beautiful Wellington Estate where the 1st Duke of Wellington lived from 1818 to 1852.
The Wellington Arms is a fantastic refurbished country pub, hotel and events venue. Located not far from Hook, Basingstoke and Reading. Consisting of 25 stunning bedrooms, the 18th century main building makes for an excellent wedding venue for up to 120 daytime guests and 160 evening guests.
Becky & Adam had their wedding here last summer in the Rose Garden, with its lovely open sided barn and gorgeous flower arrangements by local florist Blooming Cow. Becky loves Bees and the wedding had a bit of a Bee theme, so Carol was very happy to capture one of the little beauties when it landed on the flowers during the ceremony. Love the shot about with the couple in the background, oblivious to our presence. Our photography is all about taking great images, but not intruding on the wedding day.
Another important part of Becky and Adam’s wedding was the Ping Pong. They met playing ping pong, so they just had to have a table at the wedding. Which made for some lively evening entertainment for them and their guests.
