Barnett Hill Wedding Photography | Tes & Liam

Barnett Hill near Guildford in Surrey is a beautiful Queen Anne style country house, situated within 26 acres of manicured gardens and grounds. It’s a very grand venue, tucked away along a country lane, making it feel very private during the wedding day. With 55 rooms it can also easily accommodate you and your wedding guests.

Tes and Liam both started their wedding day at Barnett Hill, so we were able to capture both Tes’s bridal preparations and also Liam and his brothers  getting ready too. I loved the boys choice of colourful ties and buttonholes, it really helps to have such great blasts of colour in pictures.

The ceremony took place in the Oak Hall, the main ceremony room at Barnett Hill. It’s a stunning oak panelled room with an amazing ceiling and chandeliers. As soon as I walked in I spotted the ceiling with that lovely oval shape and wanted to make sure I captured it in one or more of the ceremony images. In fact, I got very lucky (I’m sure there was some skill in there too) and managed to capture one of my favourite ever first kiss pictures. It’s a stunning photo and makes me smile every time I see it. I feel lucky to have been there in the right place at the right time, ready to capture that image for Tes and Liam. Carol and I are always looking out for interesting candid moments and natural pictures as well as telling the story of the day and we both love the funny image of the little bridesmaid having her hair sprayed, which Carol shot while I was out with the boys. I also like the picture of  Liam and his brothers taking a selfie just before the ceremony begins.

We both thought Tes & Liam had some great styling ideas for their big day. The Easter theme gave everything a lovely Spring time feel, and the little Easter eggs gave a great splash of colour to the wedding tables. We loved the little bottles of vodka on the tables as wedding favours, they looked very cute in pictures. Little details like these all add to the overall look of your wedding tables.

We had a fabulous day capturing Tes & Liam’s wedding day and Barnett Hill was a great venue to photograph. We certainly hope to shoot some more weddings there again soon.
