Festival Wedding at Night Pastures

What could be better than being surrounded by nature at a woodland festival wedding? I was really looking forward to shooting Catherine and Richard’s big day and it was great that even the rain didn’t spoil the Festival atmosphere. The day started with a trip to the Registry Office in Petersfield to get the legal stuff done. Then everyone boarded a beautiful vintage bus to set off for Night Pastures, for a humanist outdoor wedding ceremony.

Night Pastures in Fernhurst, West Sussex, is a glamping retreat. Set in the heart of the South Downs National Park, it has all of the ingredients for a beautiful nature inspired wedding – a pretty location, a large tipi and a load of friends and family. Then let fun begin. The couple had added so many personal touches to their day including vintage glasses for the cocktails served during the drinks ceremony. Then a gin bar for the evening with an extensive selection of gins to choose from. I’m a big gin fan myself and would have loved to stay and hang out with them at the party, but sadly needed to drive home. I do love shooting a relaxed wedding.

    1. Thx David. Yes, it sure makes it a total joy for us as photographers when our brides are beaming all day long. It’s my number one tip for brides on their wedding day. Smile, laugh or cry. But be in the moment, be emotional, as that shows through in the wedding pictures.
