Gemma & Sam’s Wedding at The Tithe Barn, Hampshire

I’ve just finished editing the main gallery of our last wedding of this year, Gemma & Sam’s beautiful winter wedding at the Tithe Barn, Nr. Petersfield in Hampshire. What a great way to end the year, this was a fantastic wedding to edit, just so many great images, it was really hard trimming them down to make a blog post. One of the most enjoyable things about being a wedding photographer is you never really know what will happen until the big day arrives. When a couple book you for a December wedding, you naturally always assume the worst, that it will be cold and raining etc. But, as with all UK weddings, you just never know what the day will bring. December 30th in Hampshire,  turned out to be a bright sunny day, it wasn’t even too cold outside, which enabled us to take some lovely portraits of the couple in the late afternoon sunshine.

Tithe Barn is a fabulous looking venue and looked even better with the clever addition of lanterns and strings of bare bulbs hanging across the room. These were supplied by a company called Cinemattag Productions. It really added to the ambience of the room especially in the pictures. Gemma got ready with her Bridesmaids in the Hampshire Suite Penthouse at Old Thorns Manor Hotel as did many of the guests, before heading over to the venue where Sam was eagerly awaiting her arrival.

After the ceremony, during the drinks reception, magic was performed by the extremely talented Max Curd – We’ve worked at weddings with Max before and I can’t recommend him highly enough. After photographing many of his tricks and watching very closely indeed, I cannot for the life of me figure any of them out. Amazing stuff that never fails to wow the wedding guests, we love to watch their faces and capture their surprise.
