South Lodge Wedding Photographer

Elizabeth & Ramin’s wedding at South Lodge in Sussex, will always stick in my mind as one of the happiest weddings I’ve ever been privileged enough to capture. As a documentary wedding photographer my aim is to capture real, natural emotion during the wedding day. Not people standing grinning at me in a forced unnatural way. So, when people let their emotions go and just be themselves, it makes the perfect day for me.

Tears, laughter, happiness – this wedding had it all in abundance. I hadn’t met the couple before the wedding. They’d booked me via a recommendation from a magician friend of theirs, Max, a magician that has worked alongside me at a few weddings in the past. It’s always a little strange walking into someone’s special day, not knowing anyone there, but I soon blended in and got on with my job. Being unobtrusive and discreet is all part of my approach at a wedding. I’m not there to control the wedding day – I’m there to observe it and create a beautiful story from what I see in front of me.
