Silchester Farm Wedding Photography
We were really excited when Lana & Chris asked us to be their Silchester Farm wedding photographers. I had seen the venue online and it looked very much our type wedding venue. We love relaxed weddings and we love that they refer to their venue as a rural retreat.
The ceremony was held in the outdoor space. I’m amazed that everyone didn’t melt, it was one of the hottest days of the summer, hence the very scorched grass in the photos. But it did make a lovely backdrop for the ceremony pictures. One day it would be nice to shoot in the 400 year old Threshing Barn, as that looked like a very interesting space for a wedding ceremony.
Evening celebrations, the meal and after party were all held in the Cow Shed. Which is a fantastic space and I couldn’t find any cows in there! The way the couple had decorated it made it look amazing. Though Carol did manage to find some sheep out the back, which she went off to pet and photograph during the meal. We are both huge animal lovers and never miss the chance to go and say hello to the wildlife.
