Manor Estate Wiltshire Wedding Photography

Laura and Luke’s wedding was the first time for us shooting at the Manor Estate Barn in Wiltshire. It’s funny, I’ve driven past the estate so many times in the previous years and had seen the signs for a wedding venue, but had never had the chance to visit it. What a lovely place. Nestled in the Till valley in Winterborne Stoke. It’s located very close to Stone Henge.

The couple were lucky enough to have beautiful weather on their wedding day and so took advantage of the outdoor ceremony space, next to the small river at the side of the main house. Having both of us shooting allowed me to stay at the front of the ceremony and Carol to follow Laura in at the back of the aisle. Having two photographers makes this process so much more achievable. Having both of us shooting also allowed me a few minutes at the end of the ceremony to take a few aerial shots with our drone. Just to give an overview of the scene, which we think is really lovely.

The Manor Estate is a privately owned estate, the owners having been at the farm since 1945, which is amazing. I think that’s why it feels so special, because it’s not just a corporate wedding venue, but the family’s home. So they care about how everything looks and how weddings are planned at the venue. You cannot beat that personal touch in our opinion. A wedding shouldn’t be just a box ticking exercise. It’s one of the most special days of your lives, it should have that personal touch.
