Wokefield Estate Wedding Photographer

Sehee & Ian’s wedding at Wokefield Estate last summer. It was a glorious day last summer to have an outdoor ceremony.

Both parties got ready at the hotel, which made it very easy for Carol and I to capture both sides of the preparations. Sehee’s family didn’t speak much english, however that wasn’t any issue. We are very used to mixing with people from all over the world after years working in the fashion industry. Plus, as we are never there to orchestrate the day, we don’t have to ask anyone to do anything. We are there to simply capture what’s happening. Which we do very quietly and unobtrusively.

The ceremony was conducted by Alison, a celebrant. Which always makes things so much more relaxed as there is no formal proceedings. So couples can concentrate on just enjoying their day. The two mothers lit candles just before Sehee walked down the aisle. Loved the fact that Sehee was so emotional during the whole thing. We love capturing happy tears.

Drinks after the ceremony were served in the gardens and it was a lovely relaxed affair. We went off on one of the hotels golf buggies to shoot a portrait down by the lake, then did a couple more portraits in the evening, when the sun was much lower. Midday sun isn’t the best option for a beautiful portrait unless there is some shade.
