Lizzie & Toby’s wedding at The Beacon in Kent was such a blast. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much during the speeches. It was hard to stop and remember to take photos. Just so funny.
The Beacon is a stunning wedding venue with exclusive use, just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It is still a private home, set on a hillside, in 17 acres of land, but runs events and has a garden restaurant. It was voted Best Wedding Venue in Kent in 2021. Three wedding rooms are available from small weddings up to 20 guests, 80 guests or 140 guests.

Lizzie got ready at a nearby AirBNB (The Bald Faced Stag), while Toby went straight to the venue. Love Carol’s shot of Lizzie walking down the stairs to the ceremony, where you get a great overview of the layout of the wedding venue. The ceremony was conducted under the covered area with the guests sat all around in an arc. It is a very special location. Being lovers of the countryside ourselves, we loved being able to see in the distance and only see trees.
After the ceremony the guests were entertained by two live musicians and by Sketched by Siena, who were doing beautiful little caricature drawings of people are the wedding. They even kindly did one for Carol and me, which was nice.
