St Etheldreda’s Church Wedding Photography

Elena & Glenn’s wedding at St Etheldreda’s Church and the Carlton Club, London.

The wedding day started at the Carlton Club, where the reception would be held later on in the day. I love bridal prep as its a great time to get to know our brides a bit better and for them to relax with having us around. We also get to know the family a little bit better. Our photography is all about being unobtrusive on the day. Not having people smiling at the camera. So the better we can blend in, the better the images. So it helps that the family get to know us and how we work.

Once Glenn was ready, Carol jumped in a cab with him and his best man and headed over to St St Etheldreda’s Church, in Ely Place. While I stayed on to capture Elena’s final prep. Then jumped in a White London taxi with them. You can’t fail to be impressed when you enter St Etheldreda’s. What a magnificent church, hidden away in Holborn. I lived in London for 15 years and used to work around that area all the time, but would never have known this was there.

After an extended ceremony with some beautiful music, we all headed back to the Carlton Club for the reception party.

    1. Thx Stewart. We love getting in close, but also being totally unnoticed by our couples – it just gives much more of a feel of being there, in the moment, in the images.
