St Etheldreda’s Church Wedding Photography
Elena & Glenn’s wedding at St Etheldreda’s Church and the Carlton Club, London.
The wedding day started at the Carlton Club, where the reception would be held later on in the day. I love bridal prep as its a great time to get to know our brides a bit better and for them to relax with having us around. We also get to know the family a little bit better. Our photography is all about being unobtrusive on the day. Not having people smiling at the camera. So the better we can blend in, the better the images. So it helps that the family get to know us and how we work.
Once Glenn was ready, Carol jumped in a cab with him and his best man and headed over to St St Etheldreda’s Church, in Ely Place. While I stayed on to capture Elena’s final prep. Then jumped in a White London taxi with them. You can’t fail to be impressed when you enter St Etheldreda’s. What a magnificent church, hidden away in Holborn. I lived in London for 15 years and used to work around that area all the time, but would never have known this was there.
After an extended ceremony with some beautiful music, we all headed back to the Carlton Club for the reception party.

Beautiful work. Flipping love the Black & Whites
:) Thx Craig. One of these days I might have to run a workshop on Black & White theory and processing.
Cracking set of pictures guys! The two grannies on the bus made me chuckle.
They were brilliant those two old ladies. They had such fun that day.
I shot Ethedredas after dark last year and it was very difficult but still magical. Lovely to see your beautiful shots showing it at it’s very best!
That’s a shame Harry – it really needs that light coming through that beautiful stained glass window to see it at its best.
Stunning images of what looks like such a beautiful day to document. Loved the brides gown.
Super set Paul! Love your close up wide angle documentary shots. Very nice mate!
Thx Stewart. We love getting in close, but also being totally unnoticed by our couples – it just gives much more of a feel of being there, in the moment, in the images.
Fantastic work Paul! Love these!
Thx Winston
